Welcome to
outstanding summer skiing at the highest peak in Northern Europe!
Galdhøpiggen Summer Ski Centre is located at the foot
of Northern Europe’s highest mountain peak (1850 metres). We offer a top modern ski
resort with all facilities, and a spacious cafeteria seating 210 persons. Modern ski
equipment available for rent. The skiing conditions during the season from May/June to mid
November are among the best in the world, and the slope is well suited for Alpine,
Telemark and Snowboard. A large number of national teams, ski associations and ski clubs
in Norway and abroad choose to train here. In 2002, we built a new t-bar ski lift, and it
is Norway’s longest t-bar ski lift on a glacier (1,400 metres).
Galdhøpiggen Summer Ski Centre is located approx. 45-minute drive from the centre of Lom
in the direction Sognefjellet. Lom is only a 5-hour drive from the capital Oslo. During
the summer it is also possible to travel by bus up to the ski centre.

Location: Juvbreen glacier, 5km from Norway’s highest mountain, Galdhøpiggen.
Lift type: 1 Doppelmayr T-bar lift.
Capacity: 1,200 persons per hour.
Lowest point: 1850 metres.
Highest point: 2200 metres
Drop: 350 meters.
Length: 1,400 meters.
Slopes: 1 slope; the lift is located on a glacier that is approx. 1400x1000 meters.

Asphalt road
The entire stretch of road from the start of the toll-road and up to the ski centre is
asphalted! This means that visitors enjoy a much better and safer road to drive on.
Prices for ski rental
Alpine/Telemark: 200.- per day
Snowboard: 250.- per day.
Mountain shoes: 100.- per day.
Ski poles: 30.- per day.
Helmet: 30.- per day.

Lift pass for teams and clubs in 2009
For teams/clubs with 10 or more skiers: NOK 230 per day per skier.

Course
You need to be at least 10 skiers in your group to have your own course. If less than 10
skiers, you will have to pay a fee of NOK 500.- per day for renting course. On days with
heavy traffic on the slope, you can expect to have to ski with other clubs and teams.
Rental of prepping machine for constructing jumps/terrain features
Price to rent machine for building jumps/terrain features: NOK 1000 per hour.
Salt
NOK 85.- per bag (25 kg bags, delivered at top of course). Empty salt bags must be brought
down the hill and disposed of properly in containers. A ready-prepped course is available
for warm-up during the morning.
VAT taxes have been introduced on lift passes as of 1 March 2004. The prices above include
